Community Spotlight Car

2016 Corvette Z06

My corvette is the most exciting car I’ve ever owned, with 650hp it is powerful but manageable thanks to the state of the art chassis tuning and systems. Every drive is a walk on the edge of death.

2007 Shelby GT

This Shelby GT is surprisingly all about how it goes around a turn, rather than blitzing the 1320. Extensive suspension modifications and many go-fast bits have hauled this Mustang to several class wins in SCCA autocross races, and one overall win.

2018 Jeep Trackhawk

This thing is the ultimate daily driver. With 700hp on tap, it’s an absolute beast of a machine.

1995 Land Rover Defender 90

It’s the ultimate adventure car. Totally impractical, but so badass.

1986 Porsche Carrera

This car is the culmination of years of hard work to acquire my childhood dream car. They say the 911 is the measuring stick for all sports cars, and I wholeheartedly agree. From the canyons of malibu to the racetrack, this car has never disappointed.

1986 Porsche 944spec

My 944 is the ultimate learning tool. Mistakes are punished severely, but when you get it right, there is no comparison to the feeling you get.

1989 Porsche 944 Turbo S

The fastest accelerating Porsche made at the time. Turning out 250hp, the 944 turbo S will do 0-60 under 6 seconds and tops out over 160mph. Incredible feats for a car designed in the early 80s.

2010 Mercedes C63

The C63 is the ultimate daily driver. With 500hp on tap this unsuspecting “family sedan” can rocket from zero to 60 in under 4 seconds. Equally happy cruising around slowly, and sliding sideways around a racetrack the C63 truly is an iron fist in a velvet glove.

2014 Porsche Cayman S

The Cayman S is a holistic sports car – one that is balanced, quick, and confidence inspiring. It is equally at home on the road as it is on the track, in traffic or on the open road. While generally an average driver on the track, that confidence means I brake later and carry more speed through corners than most of the drivers that have more capable cars designed for drivers with much more experience.

1987 Porsche 930 Turbo S Flachbau

1 of just 349, my 930s is heavily modified for track use and today has over 650 HP, a full race suspension, yet remains street legal (kind of) and fully registered.Hitting the track is a visceral experience and the car seems to be to be driven harder and harder. On occasion, I begin to think I’m Peter Gregg in a Brumos 911 RSR masterfully drifting through corners. Then reality hits and I realize I’m a novice and find myself traveling through a corners backwards, usually going much faster than I would like.
