The name’s Martin. Aston Martin.
It’s finally happened. British luxury automaker Aston Martin is actually selling limited-edition James Bond licensed cars. They announced the new cars to celebrate the newest James Bond film No Time To Die. It will be the 25th film in the iconic franchise about the famed British spy. As you are probably aware, the fiction Bond has a license to kill, likes his martinis shaken (not stirred), and prefers to drive Aston Martins.
The newest Bond movie features an Aston Martin Vantage and DBS Superleggera, which will be used for the limited-edition models, along with a DB5, Aston Martin V8, and the upcoming Valhalla mid-engine supercar. Each of the limited-edition vehicles are being branded as by “Q by Aston Martin.” For non-Bond fans, Q is the MI6 employee in charge of making 007’s many cool gadgets and technology. Pre-orders are already being taken for each vehichle.
007’s Favorite Rides
The Vantage 007 is “inspired by the original Aston Martin V8” used in the 1987 James Bond film The Living Daylights. It makes an appearance in the new movie too, when Bond uncovers it in a London garage. The limited-edition car includes a unique mesh grille, yellow diffuser, and Cumberland Grey exterior paint. The car in The Living Daylights also had skis and a ski rack mounted on it. Those accessories can now be ordered directly from Aston Martin. This tribute car comes with an automatic or manual transmission. It’s also being limited to a production run of only 100 vehicles.
That’s 75 more cars than the 007 DBS Superleggera. It features a Ceramic Grey exterior with black-tinted carbon fiber accents, Gloss Black 21-inch wheels, a 007 fender badge, interior 007 branding, and a sill plate attesting to its one-of-25 status. The Vantage 007 limited-edition costs £161,000, while the DBS Superleggera 007 Edition soars up to £279,025. The vehicles are planned for delivery in the first quarter of 2021.
No Time To Die is scheduled to be released in theaters worldwide on November 25th. Daniel Craig will reprise his role as James Bond, reportedly for the very last time. Of course, he said that after the last movie. So never say never.
